1st day:
Arrival in Interlaken

Arrival in Interlaken by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport. Overnight in Interlaken.

2nd day:
Interlaken to Locarno (4h)

Today you travel from Interlaken via Spiez and Brig through the Simplon tunnel to Domodossola (IT), then you change to the famous Centovalli railway. This panoramic trip to Locarno leads through the Valle Vigezzo and through the magnificient landscape ot the Centovalli valley with deep gorges, countless brigdes, tossing waterfalls, chestnut forests and vineyards. Arrival in Locarno, the film and music city on the shores of Lago Maggiore. Overnight in Locarno.

3rd day:
Departure from Locarno

Train journey from Locarno to Bellinzona. Optional visit of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Three Castles of Bellinzona. Then experience the new Gotthard base tunnel, with 57 kilometres it is the longest train tunnel in the world. Optional add the Gotthard Panorama Express. From Lucerne return to Swiss border or airport or individual onward journey.
